SkyWest Airlines is a North American regional airline based in St. George, Utah, USA. The airline is owned by SkyWest, Inc. which also operates and owns Atlantic Southeast Airlines. The company operates service to more than 150 cities in 43 states, Mexico, and Canada. The airline is operating under contracts with several major air carriers and flies regional aircraft as Midwest Connect on behalf of Midwest Airlines, as Delta Connection airline on behalf of Delta Air Lines, and as United Express on behalf of United Airlines.
Together with sister company Atlantic Southeast Airlines, the airline is the eighth-largest US airline in terms of number of planes. The airline employs more than 11,000 people and operates about 1,800 daily flights with 440 regional aircraft (counted together with Atlantic Southeast Airlines).
SkyWest Airlines operates about 65% of flights as United Express, 5% as Midwest Connect airline, and 30% as Delta Connection.
